1997 Gloomy Landscape Oil Painting by Richard Young (California)

Overview: Up for sale is a lovely, moody and gloomy impressionist landscape painting by Nevada City, California artist, Richard Young. The painting depicts a river flanked by two groups of trees under a cloudy sky. The painting is signed and dated (97) at lower right. It is also signed on verso with the artist''s city of residence and titled "Fred''s Slough." I''m unsure of the origin of the title for this piece. I haven''t found any information on the artist, other than what is included on the painting, but it''s incredibly well-executed. It comes framed in a demure blond wood frame that highlights the painting well.

Condition: The painting is in excellent condition. Frame has a few minor nicks, but in very good condition.

Measurements: Painting measures 16 inches wide x 12 inches high. Frame measures approximately 21 inches wide x 17 inches high.
